Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information โ including the SSN you provide for authorized user enrollment.

1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly when you (a) reserve a tradeline (full legal name, date of birth, mailing address, Social Security number, email, phone), (b) apply to sell a tradeline (name, contact info, credit card account details, Zelle email), (c) contact us via form or email, or (d) browse the Site (IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed). We do not collect or store credit card payment information โ all payments are processed via Zelle, bank-to-bank.
2. Sensitive Personal Information
Social Security numbers are required by credit card issuers to add you as an authorized user โ there is no workaround. We collect your SSN only for this purpose. SSNs are encrypted at rest using industry-standard AES-256 encryption, transmitted only over TLS-secured connections, and accessed only by authorized personnel performing AU enrollment. SSNs are deleted from our active systems within 90 days of completed AU enrollment. We do not sell, share, or disclose your SSN to any third party except the cardholder responsible for adding you as an AU.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: (a) facilitate authorized user enrollment with the cardholder; (b) verify your identity to prevent fraud; (c) process payments via Zelle; (d) communicate with you about your reservation, account, or our services; (e) provide customer support and process refunds; (f) comply with legal obligations; and (g) improve our services through aggregated analytics. We do not use your information for advertising or behavioral targeting.
4. Sharing With Cardholders
To facilitate authorized user enrollment, we must share your full legal name, date of birth, mailing address, and Social Security number with the cardholder who will add you as an authorized user. Cardholders are bound by our Seller Agreement to use this information solely for AU enrollment, to keep it confidential, and to delete it after enrollment is complete. We vet cardholders before approving them as Sellers on our platform.
5. Payment Information
All payments and refunds are processed via Zelle. Zelle is operated independently by the participating banks. Authorized Trades does not store, process, or have access to your bank account or routing information. We see only your Zelle email or phone number, which we use to send or receive funds. Refer to your bank's privacy policy for how Zelle handles your information.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected and to comply with legal obligations: (a) SSNs deleted within 90 days of completed AU enrollment; (b) reservation records retained for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes; (c) communications retained for 2 years; (d) account data deleted upon request, subject to legal retention requirements.
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, role-based access controls, regular security audits, and employee confidentiality agreements. However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Cookies and Analytics
We use essential cookies necessary for Site functionality and minimal first-party analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. We do not use third-party advertising trackers, remarketing pixels, or behavioral profiling. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some Site features may not function properly without them.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to: (a) access the personal information we hold about you; (b) request correction of inaccurate information; (c) request deletion of your information (subject to legal retention requirements); (d) opt out of the sale or sharing of your information (we do not sell or share for advertising); and (e) receive your data in a portable format. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA; Virginia, Colorado, and Connecticut residents have rights under their respective state privacy laws. 10. Children's Privacy
Our service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. Parents who believe their child has provided us with personal information should contact us immediately.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date at the top. For material changes, we will provide additional notice via email to registered users. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
